“Maintaining equipment efficiently at multiple sites is very important”
—Alvin Todd , Environmental Health & Safety Manager
Paper based outdated and inefficient process
Before HVI, SSSAND was using a paper-based inspection & maintenance process, storing hard copies of all
inspection forms in boxes. SSSAND had 6 sites each having their own equipment. They had one maintenance manager trying to oversee
all the equipment at all 6 sites. The manager would have to go to each location weekly to pick up the paper inspections. This caused
an issue with getting work completed in a timely manner.
This process, at time, presented storage and data collection issues. This caused an issue with getting work completed in a
timely manner. This was an issue that needed to be addressed!
“HVI allowed us to see the inspections real time at each site.”

A streamlined inspections solution
SSSAND was looking for a equipment maintenance software solution that offered electronic vehicle
inspection forms and real-time notification with ability to track their equipment’s. The company wanted a centralized, digital tool
it could use to pull equipment-related reports. This led the company to HVI.
“This app allowed us to save multiple hours a week tracking equipment. This app also simplified
routine maintenance schedules.”
- Alvin Todd , Environmental Health & Safety Manager
HVI has helped SSSAND reduce equipment downtime and save time. On average they were able to free up about
20 hours a week for their Maintenance Manager . Maintenance managers and operators can now clearly see which equipment is having
issue and need maintenance.
Since moving from an antiquated paper-based fleet process to mobile-based HVI, the management team has
streamlined the process. Instead of sending a lengthy email, updating a log book description or having a conversation to give an
update on equipment status, it simply takes management a few clicks.
“It was very easy to use. The ability to set up our own inspections was also a huge plus”
- Alvin Todd , Environmental Health & Safety Manager
The management staff has the HVI Dashboard up the entire day to monitor the status of fleet vehicles.
Drivers use it at least twice a day to complete pre- and post-trip inspections and log into systems like their GPS tracking
software, which is connected to HVI. When the company recently opened a new location, HVI was rolled out as part of their operations
from day one.
